An award winning company that provides freight management services to customers across the UK is celebrating being in business for 20 years.
ACC Freight Management Ltd was formed on October 6th 1996 by four like-minded individuals from the freight business. They saw a great opportunity to utilise their experience of the industry and launch their own business, and have gone on to provide freight management services (via road, air and sea transport) not only for clients from the West Country, but for those located across the country too.
Since their formation the company has grown to have a multi-million pound turnover, and shipped over 17,000 consignments in 2015, a combination of pallets, part loads and full lorry loads. They have undertaken a number of office moves over the past 20 years to accommodate the needs of the growing business, most recently relocating to their present office premises in the village of Iron Acton, on the outskirts of Bristol.
The company recently found success at the 2015 British International Freight Association (BIFA) Awards, where Operations Manager Liam Byrne was named as Young Freight Forwarder of the Year, and the company was also a finalist in the European Freight Logistics category.
Speaking of the milestone, ACC’s Managing Director, Carl Pickett, said: ‘Looking back over the last 20 years, I am extremely proud of what our company has achieved. We have operated through some very difficult economic times, and I believe that our ability to adapt is the reason that we have been able to come through the other side and continue to grow.
‘As a business we pride ourselves on our ability to provide our customers with a service that fully meets their needs. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the ACC team for their hard work and dedication during the last two decades, and I look forward to seeing what the next 20 years has in store for us.’
